Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, underscored the significance of propagating the values of brotherhood, compassion, and care present in all religions. During a meeting with Vidura Wickramanayake, the Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka, Minister Hussain, mentioned that Pakistan conserves the Gandharan culture, artwork, and ancient buildings. Additionally, he emphasized Pakistan’s endeavors to preserve sacred sites for Sikhs and adherents of other faiths in Hasan Abdal.
Minister Hussain declared that Pakistan will expand the scholarships available to Sri Lankan students and train them vocationally in the medical and religious professions. He added that Pakistan sends its kids abroad every year since there are not enough job possibilities.
Minister Wickramanayake praised the collaboration of the Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim populations in Sri Lanka to save holy sites. He acknowledged the substantial youth population (64%), and he applauded Pakistan’s rich cultural legacy. He recommended opening up job opportunities in Pakistan’s tourism industry for young people from Sri Lanka.
