According to the K-Electric’s announcement, load shedding will not affect 70% of its service region. This choice was made after their network, which has more than 2000 feeders, was examined. The updated schedule of KE is now accessible via the KE Live App, the KE Whatsapp service, and the company’s website.
According to a K-Electric representative, intelligent meters help monitor bill payments and electricity theft. Consequently, up to 70% of the network would have continuous power. At the same time, locations with high rates of electricity theft may face load shedding lasting up to 10 hours.

In certain places, consistent bill payments and a decrease in electricity theft have resulted in a more significant power supply. For instance, portions of Malir Cantt and Gulistan-e-Johar Block 20 are no longer subject to load shedding. In other locations, like Sachal Goth and University Road, load shedding will be reduced by four hours.
In addition to vigorously battling electricity theft, K-Electric also works to support its clients. At the beginning of the fiscal year, they established camps all across the city and removed 330,000 kg of Kundas or illicit connections.

However, an increase in electricity theft in some places has resulted in more load shedding. Places like Baldia and Liaquatabad will see prolonged power-shedding periods, and areas like Zeeshan Society and Millat Colony will no longer be exempt.
KE highlights that enhancing power availability in high-loss areas requires eliminating power theft. Customers are urged to pay their bills on time since providing free electricity is not viable.
