On Monday, Pakistan and China conducted important military discussions, strengthening their defense cooperation and emphasizing crucial regional security challenges. General Li Qiaoming of the People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces in China and Army Chief Gen. At the General Headquarters, this discussion involved Gen. Asim Munir and Gen. Li Qiaoming from China’s People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces. Regional security concerns, military training, and enhanced defense cooperation were discussed.

Many other critical problems were addressed during the meeting, such as the state of affairs near the Line of Control (LoC), the continuous conflict between China and India, and the recent events in Afghanistan and Kashmir. Additionally, they talked about Pakistan’s attempts to modernize its security forces with Chinese support.

China is making an effort to strengthen ties with crucial defense allies, as seen by Gen. Li’s journey to Pakistan after he visits Moscow. Gen. Li is essential to China’s defense strategy as a senior military figure. Gen. Li commended Pakistan for its efforts against terrorism and extremism; on the other hand, Gen. Munir stressed the close ties between the Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army during the meeting.

The supportive and strong relationship between China and Pakistan was emphasized by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who additionally pointed out that the defense ties between the two countries are crucial to maintaining peace and security in the area. Establishing that China and Pakistan are great supporters, Gen. Li called Pakistan an “iron brother.” It was further stated that more collaboration is desired. He recognized Pakistan’s contribution to regional security and peace.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif applauded the long-standing ties between the two nations and underlined that friendship with China is fundamental to Pakistan’s foreign policy. He then highlighted the benefits of their cooperation with each other as well as the significance of security cooperation for peace and stability in the area, particularly with Afghanistan.

The meetings and gatherings underlined both countries’ commitment to collaborate on defense concerns and promote regional stability.
