The recordings of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his Qawwal party, recorded at Real World Studios in 1990 during the height of his singing career, are exclusive to “Chain of Light.” The record has the only known performance of “Ya Gaus Ya Meeran” and a perfect rendition of “Ya Allah Ya Rehman,” both of which were reconstructed from the original analog tapes.
September 10 will see the trip continue to Manchester, September 11 to Birmingham, and September 13 to Paris. September 19 will mark the last pre-release event in London, and September 20 will mark the official album debut.
