Abdul Edhi began his work in charity in 1951, born on February 28, 1928, in Gujarat. In addition to creating the largest volunteer ambulance network in the world, Edhi also started orphanages, homeless shelters, and animal sanctuaries around the nation.
Abdul Edhi was awarded with numerous international and national honors for his humanitarian work, including the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, the Lenin Peace Prize, and the Asian Nobdel.
