BISP to offer women skills training

Senator Rubina Khalid, the chair of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), paid a visit to the BISP Payment Campsite located at Government High School Iqbal Town in Lahore. Her visit was intended as an evaluation of the amenities as BISP to offer women skills training to those who come to receive the quarterly stipend from Kafaalat.

Senator Rubina Khalid spoke with the female beneficiaries during her visit, heard their worries, and gave them confidence that BISP would take care of their problems. She gave the BISP employees instructions on how to examine the tehsil office to avoid crowds at payment centres.

Senator Rubina Khalid was briefed on the existing payment method by the BISP staff. She underlined how crucial it is to dole out rewards fairly and openly to all worthy women. She had earlier given a speech to media representatives at the Lahore BISP Central Zonal Office, stressing the benefits of the Benazir Income Support Program.

Senator Runina revealed that the BISP serves 9.5 million worthy families and that its reach is being increased. Senator Rubina Khalid introduced a new skill-training program to assist members of worthy households in starting their enterprises and escaping poverty.

BISP is working with the Ministry of Information Technology and taking big action against fraud. She emphasized that beneficiaries should only trust the official BISP number, 8171. To guarantee transparency, BISP is also implementing a new payment mechanism that involves six banks.

Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed the goal of BISP, which is to enable women economically and follow Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision. Under the direction of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari, the initiative guarantees that funds are awarded to worthy women openly and respectfully.
