The FBR collected Rs. billion, as opposed to the aim of Rs. 745 billion, for the month of May 2023, exceeding its revenue target. Compared to May 2023, there has been a 33% increase. Meanwhile, the growth of the first eleven months of this year in tidal revenue was 31% higher than it was during the same period in the previous year, with a remarkable 43% increase in domestic taxes in May.
Government policy aims to raise domestic tax income, and the FBR staff has worked hard to achieve this goal. Thus, this fantastic increase has been largely attained thanks to their efforts.
The FBR chairman praised the officers and officials for their commitment and hard work and assured them that FBR would reach its income goal in June 2024, the last month of the current fiscal year.
