The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Korean Ambassador, and representatives of Korean companies working in Pakistan met today at the Finance Division.
The attendees also included the Secretary of the Ministry of Communications, the chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA), the MD of the Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB), and senior officers from relevant ministries.
The Korean ambassador expressed gratitude for Pakistan and Korea’s robust bilateral relations and the government’s economic measures. Furthermore, he underlined the necessity of taking advantage of all available opportunities for additional collaboration.
Representatives of Korean businesses briefed the finance minister about their concerns about the project schedules and operational effectiveness. The foreign exchange reserves have been trending upward, and the finance minister highlighted the notable macroeconomic gains.
Additionally, Senator Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb asked the appropriate authorities to facilitate smooth business operations and emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the difficulties Korean companies operating in Pakistan encounter. At the end of the conference, they committed to enhancing further economic ties between Pakistan and Korea and collaborating to resolve shared issues for the good of both countries.
