Punjab Ensures Rs14 Relief on August power bills
After the residents of Punjab received their electricity bills for August, which weren’t showing the promised relief, the government of Punjab took action about it. Committees have been established by the government to supervise the process of billing. This billing guarantees that the qualified invoices receive a relief of Rs. 14 per unit to remedy this.

These committees were overseen by the commissioners from Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Rawalpindi. Those in charge made sure that customers in the service regions of LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, GEPCO, and IESCO got the help they needed. These committees further kept an eye on the billing procedure to ensure that no one is overcharged and that customers are only charged for the actual meter readings.
It is confirmed by Azma Bukhari, the Punjab minister for information, that these committees have been set up by the energy department. She further added that the proposals that were previously circulated on social media were test bills, and the final bills that included relief would be published shortly. The minister gave the people confidence that CM Maryam Nawaz is dedicated to keeping her word.
