On Monday night, the Halal Food Authority and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety conducted an essential operation in Dera Ismail Khan. At the Forest checkpoint Qureshi Mor, a checkpoint was established to inspect tankers of tainted milk in DI Khan arriving from Punjab and other areas.

A Food Authority representative said samples were collected from milk supply trucks and underwent on-site testing in a mobile food testing lab. During the investigation, more than 3,000 liters of adulterated and inferior milk from two cars were discovered and thrown away. In addition, the owners of these cars paid substantial penalties.

The Food Safety Authority’s Director General, Wasif Saeed, commended the team’s work. He instructed all workers to be alert and regularly check food supply vehicles. Wasif underlined that anyone who served poor quality would face severe consequences; violators would not be spared.
