Instagram Stories Now Support Public Comments

Instagram stories, which are short-lived posts that are usually used more than normal posts, now allow its users to add comments. Responses to the stories were previously sent as private messages that were only accessible by the original poster. The new comments function allows public feedback from anyone who follows the poster and accepts a follow-up.

Instagram is working on adding more features to Instagram stories and reels, demonstrating that the app values these platforms for social interaction as much as for casual browsing. They have recently started using notes that vanish from grid poles and reels. These days, users can highlight how friends engage with their content through these notes, which are visible to a limited number of close friends or mutual followers.
