On June 4, 2024, ChatGPT went Down!
OpenAI’s ChatGPT faced two notable problems. The first outage happened early on a Tuesday morning, which caused numerous hours of service outages. OpenAI recognized this issue and responded that they were looking into why chatGPT services were not available to specific users.
After a very short period, ChatGPT users faced a second outage around 10:30 AM ET, which sparked thousands of reports on Downdetector. It took a lot of work for users of the chatGPT web service and mobile apps to get responses to their queries. Around 1:17 PM ET, OpenAI users were released with the news of OpenAI that the issue had been resolved.
Additionally, some users have needed help with Google Gemini Anthropic’s Claude AI and Perplexity AI online queries. Although it appeared that Google Gemini was accessible to all, Claude AI and Perplexity AI reported problems that were quickly fixed by 1 PM ET, allowing users to continue using their services.
There have been other significant outages on ChatGPT in the past. A similar event that disrupted OpenAI’s API services in November lasted for about ninety minutes. OpenAI guaranteed that its API was unaffected by the most recent outage despite the current issues with ChatGPT. The search functions of ChatGPT were also hampered by a Microsoft outage that occurred the previous month, highlighting the difficulties AI platforms encounter during such outages.
As the meeting ended, Pope Francis wished the people of Pakistan well and offered prayers for the country’s advancement and prosperity.
